TAIMA Conference 2026
TAIMA is a biennial international conference dedicated to data processing, analysis, and machine learning for signals and images. The conference brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals to present the latest scientific advances, innovative methodologies, and real-world applications across a wide range of domains, including biomedical imaging, remote sensing, telecommunications, cultural heritage, and emerging digital technologies.
The 2026 edition also featured TAIMA Entreprise, a special session designed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry by promoting knowledge exchange and the development of joint initiatives.
During the opening day of the conference, DIGITAfrica was represented by project partner University of Manouba in the TAIMA Entreprise session. The presentation, entitled “Towards a Sustainable Digital Research Infrastructure for Africa–Europe (DIGITAfrica)”, introduced the project’s vision of fostering long-term digital research collaboration between Africa and Europe through the development of a sustainable digital research infrastructure.
The talk presented DIGITAfrica’s mission, objectives, and expected impact, highlighting its contribution to strengthening research capacities, supporting digital innovation, building a vibrant research community, and creating lasting opportunities for Africa–Europe scientific cooperation. The conference provided an excellent platform to engage with researchers, technology experts, and industry stakeholders, increasing the visibility of the project while fostering new partnerships and future collaboration opportunities.
