Work Package 6: Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication
Objective and Relevance
The purpose of Work Package 6 is to ensure the effective communication and dissemination of the DIGITAfrica project’s progress, activities, and results to all relevant stakeholders, communities, and the wider public.
By adopting a multi-channel communication approach, WP6 aims to raise awareness of the project’s objectives, foster dialogue among stakeholders, and strengthen the project’s visibility and long-term impact. It plays a key role in maintaining coherence in the project’s communications and facilitating interaction between partners, regional authorities, civil society and industry representatives.
Through these activities, WP6 contributes to build an informed and connected community around the project’s mission and values.
Current Progress
At this stage, WP6 is actively implementing a range of communication and dissemination activities to enhance the project’s visibility and engagement with key audiences.
Led by Mandat International (Switzerland) and the University de Ngoundéré (Cameroon), WP6 has been shaping the project’s visual identity and designing templates for internal and external communication to ensure consistency across all materials.
WP6 has also developed a set of visual communication resources, including posters, roll-ups, and e-brochures, made available to consortium members and partially accessible through the project website.
In parallel, WP6 has successfully launched several communication channels and tools, such as the website, social media platforms, and the official blog, which serve as key platforms for sharing updates, insights, and stories from across the consortium.
Next Steps and Way Forward
In the coming months, WP6 will continue to expand its communication and outreach activities to strengthen the project’s presence and engagement at both European and African levels. The next steps include:
- Increasing visibility through participation in events and conferences, and the organisation of webinars and other communication activities;
- Collecting and sharing insights from across the consortium to highlight the impact and progress achieved within the Work Packages;
- Developing new liaisons and partnerships, raising awareness, and fostering collaboration with regional authorities in both the EU and Africa;
- Enhancing and fostering the dialogue with the civil society and industry.
Through these actions, WP6 aims to maintain a dedicated communication line with stakeholders and ensure that the project’s impact extends beyond the consortium, contributing to building a connected and engaged community around its mission.
