Consultation DIGITAfrica Workshop

Upcoming – 27, 28 and 29 April 2026

DIGITAfrica will host a workshop in Tunis. The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, and partners from across Africa and Europe to discuss priorities, share perspectives, and contribute to the co-design of a research infrastructure in digital sciences aligned with Africa’s needs and ambitions.

The event will consist of three days of activities. The first day is reserved for project partners, while the second and third days will host workshops open to the public.

Inaugural DIGITAfrica Workshop

Past – 24 and 25 April 2025

On 24–25 April 2025, the University of Cape Town (UCT) hosted the inaugural DIGITAfrica workshop, bringing together over 60 participants, both onsite and online, for two days of collaborative dialogue, training, and technical demonstrations.

The event marked the official in-person launch of the DIGITAfrica project and was co-organized by UCT and Sorbonne University, with support from the SLICES-RI and SoBigData initiatives.
