DIGITAfrica High-Level Policy Forum
Coming in 2027 – Online Event

DIGITAfrica is preparing a High-Level Policy Forum, an online event bringing together policymakers, regulators, research institutions, infrastructure stakeholders, and international partners to discuss the future of digital research infrastructures in Africa.

The Forum will provide a platform for exchanging perspectives on governance approaches, identifying common challenges, and promoting policy coherence across African countries and regions.

Through dialogue between policy and technical communities, it will contribute to aligning strategic priorities and supporting the development of sustainable and inclusive digital research ecosystems.

The event will gather representatives from African Union countries, regional organisations, research and innovation stakeholders, and international partners to:

  • Exchange perspectives on governance models and policy priorities for digital research infrastructures
  • Identify common challenges and opportunities related to deployment, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration
  • Discuss approaches to strengthen coordination between national, regional, and international initiatives
  • Contribute to recommendations supporting the long-term development of a Pan-African Digital Research Infrastructure

The Forum is part of DIGITAfrica’s stakeholder engagement and sustainability activities, building on consultations with key actors across Africa and Europe.

The outcomes and recommendations from these discussions will support the next phase of the project and contribute to shaping future collaboration pathways.

Further details, including the date, agenda, and registration information, will be announced soon.
