U.S Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine conference
The U.S. Africa Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Symposium is a prestigious international event that brings together outstanding early- and mid-career scientists, engineers, and medical researchers from Africa and the United States to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, promote scientific excellence, and encourage long-term research collaboration.
The 2026 edition, held in Dakar, Senegal, provided a unique platform for participants to exchange ideas, discuss emerging scientific challenges, and build new international partnerships across a wide range of disciplines.
DIGITAfrica was represented by project partner University of Ngaoundéré, which participated in the symposium and promoted the project among researchers, academics, and institutional stakeholders. Throughout the event, DIGITAfrica informational booklets were distributed to increase awareness of the project’s mission and objectives, highlighting its role in strengthening digital research infrastructures and fostering sustainable research collaboration between Africa and Europe.
The symposium offered an excellent networking opportunity to engage with leading scientists and innovators, enhancing the visibility of DIGITAfrica and supporting the development of new collaborations within the international research community.
