EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026

The EuCNC & 6G Summit 2026 is one of Europe’s leading conferences on telecommunications, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the latest developments in 5G, 6G, and future communication networks. The 2026 edition, held in Málaga, Spain, featured a rich programme of technical sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities focused on shaping the future of next-generation connectivity.

As part of the workshop “Shaping the Future of 6G: International Cooperation for AI-Native RAN”, DIGITAfrica was represented by project partner INRIA. During the session, INRIA presented DIGITAfrica’s vision for designing a pan-African research infrastructure that will enable cutting-edge 6G research and experimentation across Africa. The presentation highlighted the project’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and supporting interoperable, sustainable, and AI-native network infrastructures.

The workshop brought together experts from Europe, the United States, Japan, Korea, Brazil, and Africa to exchange perspectives on AI/ML-based use cases for future Radio Access Networks (RAN), advanced experimental platforms, and global cooperation for the development of 6G technologies.
